Social Security 2027 COLA estimate rises with gas prices
Someone will look at this chart and say, “See, the Baby Boomers had it good back in 1980”.
Uh, no. Baby Boomers were in their 20s and 30s then and did not collect Social Security.
Even though the oldest members were not eligible for full Social Security retirement benefits until 2011, and the tail end of the Baby Boom is not eligible until age 67 (which the oldest members are only just now reaching).
