Blue Zones are places were supposedly more people live to be 100+. Except it turned out that are mostly places where there are inaccurate birth records and widespread pension fraud. And, they tend to be in places that are economically depressed with less education – which is contrary to other studies on longevity. Blue Zones persist because the concept is now a profit center selling life style books to rich people in developed nations.

In the U.S., less than 1 in 3000 people will live to be 100 or older.
