57% of Americans Are Tired of Being Told What To Eat, New Survey Finds

Heh: “One scroll through social media can make it feel like everyone is meal prepping, lifting heavier, hitting impossible protein goals, drinking green powders, taking supplements, and somehow still making sourdough.”

The health-media-industrial complex has made everyone miserable by pushing the food fad du jour, and falsely blaming every ailment on what you eat. Many of the food fads are sufficiently complicated you need an app or spreadsheet to track your nutrients. And then you find you cannot actually obtain the recommended nutrient levels when eating their recommended foods (who eats 8 cups of broccoli per day?)

Note – I have made some dietary changes – mostly consuming more soluble fiber (oats, barley, beans, psyllium husk powder) and reducing saturated fats. Total cholesterol is now 167, HDL is 49, LDL is 71, Total/HDL ratio is 3.41 (goal <3.5), LDL/HDL ratio is 1.41 (goal <2.5) so somethings working out fine.
