Imagine at some point there will be a recommendation for much of the population to take a weight loss drug – because climate change. We might get to a point where being overweight is outlawed – being overweight means consuming too much food (which means wasted carbon emissions on excess food production, as well as excess emissions from transporting the excess weight). Fat people are a cause of climate change, obviously.
They won’t ban obesity – instead, they will mandate taking obesity medications, with Covid-19 vaccines being a precedent for mandating drugs. And the mandate will be via surcharges and restrictions – if you are overweight, you will not be permitted to fly, or will be required to pay a “extra weight fee” when using transport.
