As much as Apple wants to hold up its carbon-neutral initiatives—even hosting a rather cringe skit with actor Octavia Spencer playing a no-nonsense mother nature during its recent iPhone announcement—Apple is still part of a large global supply chain that is the very opposite of sustainable. We could use a few more global supply chain standards as harsh and exacting as France’s electromagnetic radiation demands.

The author of that story, from his Twitter feed appears to be a genuinely nice guy but: “Kyle is a Breaking News Reporter for Gizmodo, a longtime player of tabletop games and recent dabbler in historical sword fighting.” He has a BA in journalism and is a “tech and science journalist”, and is a writer for Gizmodo, which previously went bankrupt after parent Gawker, filed for bankruptcy after losing a $140 million defamation judgement.

The cumulative messaging bout “what we need to do” implies a return to the pre-Stone Age era – before the advent of fire. No travel or cooking over fires. Everything must be locally sourced, sustainably shade grown by union workers, organic, hand made, even in the northern latitude countries.
