This includes county fairs, air shows, festivals, music events and watching outdoor sporting events (athletes are exempt from the rule).
They also recommend everyone wear face masks at non-public – meaning private – activities, such as a family get together and everyone should remain at least six feet apart. Including the fully vaccinated.
No data was provided to support the rules.
Oregon, previously a “model of how to do Covid right” now has among the worst outbreaks in the nation. In several counties, hospitals are now full, and in several more counties, they are out of ICU bed capacity. Health care workers are truly under huge stress, often working very long hours – and emotionally drained from dealing with so many sick patients, too many of whom will die, and most of which are not vaccinated.
Everywhere, given time, ends up in the same situation regardless of the restrictions or Governors’ political party affiliations.
Cloth facial coverings are estimated to be 0% to 10%, or 0% to 25% effective (depending on whose study is referenced). Their value to a fully vaccinated person is unclear.
Elsewhere, Georgia announces no masks will be required at enormous (90,000+ attendance) sporting events. Because the Science is different (or non-existent) between jurisdictions.
The good news is that cases have always declined after high compliance mask mandates went into effect (or not):

Many people in Oregon indicate on Social media that they will not be complying with this.
I am so old, I remember 3 months ago when we were told that getting vaccinated meant we could begin to resume normal life and would no longer have to wear ugly face masks indoors.
Now here we are 3 months later – public health once again lied to us and now says that fully vaccinated must wear face masks outdoors. There is zero evidence to support that fully vaccinated must wear face masks outdoors. They have lied to us repeatedly.
