Was outside reading today, with my Samsung Galaxy S9 FE tablet. Within about 20 minutes, the screen shut off – and would not turn on again for some time. Came back on, then repeated the shutdown.
I realize it must be overheating. The temperature in the shade is 60 deg F but I was sitting in bright sunlight where it felt plenty warm to me!
That turned out to be enough heat to trigger a shut down. I brought it back inside the house and let it cool down and now it works fine.
That’s too bad as the tablet makes for a very nice reader – and it’s bright screen even makes it readable in sunlight.
Unfortunately, if it can’t withstand that heat, though, I’ll have to go back to reading on my notebook computer, instead.
