For the past year, most of the posts seen here were written well in advance. At times, there were up to 2 months of posts queued up to automatically publish on the blog in the future.
I aimed to have one post per day – and sometimes, a week’s worth of posts would be put together all at once, scheduled for future posting.
Today is the first time in a year that I have no more posts scheduled in advance.
At this point, posting frequency may drop – by a lot.
Blogs have mostly died out – replaced by corporate social media platforms – X, Reddit, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok and many more. The use of AI content generation has reduced traffic from search engines as AI-based search largely scrapes and steals content and repackages it directly on the search engine site – thus, fewer click throughs to the original content from the creator of that content.
I have long viewed my blogs as a personal, public diary about topics that interest me – rather than as promotional tool as is done by most online content. I remember I blogged about a topic in the past and can quickly do a search to look up things. I am likely to continue to share items but for that reason of creating a personal log, mostly, at this point.
