The climate cult is about politics and control over others – and no longer has anything to do with climate.
After spending US $64,000 over 5 years to re-do our old home insulation, install solar PV, have a battery pack on order, and bought an EV – we feel duped, scammed and disillusioned.
We cut our household carbon emissions to 1/10th that of an average American home. But after having a rock go through our Model 3’s windshield in March of 2025 (literally when I was in the early phase of a silent heart attack that had me on a Medevac helicopter 2 hours later), we have given up on all of this – and climate is no longer a consideration in any future decisions.
The blatant hypocrisy and bull shit from the climate cult (a term I began using after the above) has left me angry at myself and disillusioned for having fallen for it.
For safety from attacks on Teslas, we stopped driving the Model 3 for a month – and now only use it for safe destinations. We originally bought it in part for frequent weekly drives to BLM trail heads – 15-20 miles away or 30-40 miles round trip. But we no longer consider it safe to park it there due to violent attacks on Tesla EVs and their owners. We are back to driving an old gas car to those locations.
One week ago, we drove our gas car 300 miles round trip to the Portland area – as we did not feel safe taking the Tesla to the heart of Antifa territory – where Tesla outlets have been vandalized, firebombed and had shots fired into them.
