I live in Oregon and my home is powered 100% by solar PV. If we buy power from Pacific Power, as of 2024, our rate is 13.7 cents per KWH. We do pay an $11 per month interconnection fee (all residential unites pay this flat rate fee). Why is our solar PV home connected to the grid? Because we live in a city and the city code requires that all homes, including those powered by solar to be connected to the grid.
