After an outcry the Colorado bill was shelved, but the mission continues. Mark Howell, councillor on Bournemouth, Christchurch & Poole Council, suggested at a town hall meeting on reaching Net Zero by 2050 that dogs of medium to large size should be banned. Howell claimed that Labradors have carbon emissions similar to that of a SUV car. Pets, he stated, consume a fifth of the global resource of meat and fish. Therefore, owners should ‘scale down’ . Pets should be shared between friends and family to reduce their number.

Note that other “experts” have said we must ban all dogs and cats. Since we must ban meat consumption, and in the U.S. cats and dogs consume 25% of the meat production, we must ban all cats and dogs. It’s Just Science.
