In her video, she claimed that “Boomers” had it easy finding jobs, buying homes, etc. Unemployment was 7.2% when I graduated from college and would climb to nearly 10%. Interest rates, when we bought our first home, a small, trashed fixer upper, were over 11% and would climb to between 16-18%. The media picked up this TikTok video and made her famous, spreading her disinformation widely, as if she had something useful to say.
