Of the 126 stalls I inspected, 27% were out of order. They either had a sign, a dead screen or an error reading “Charger unavailable” or “Out of service.”

Many – especially politicians and the media – do not understand that building infrastructure takes time, a lot of time. Magical thinking that we will all drive EVs within a few years is – magical thinking. Building out a reliable infrastructure for any large public project takes a lot of time.
This is why hybrid ICE vehicles are huge right now and will be for some time. While walking through my neighborhood I am amazed at the number of “quiet” hybrid cars that pass me, operating in quiet electric mode for local in town trips.
