In the Netherlands, surprisingly, several pilots have had their drones shot while flying on work assignments. Watch the embedded video clip where a homeowner with a gun, confronts a drone pilot (that video appears to be in the UK, interestingly – I didn’t know they had hand guns).
In the U.S., the recommendation is to have a GoPro or similar “body camera” running at all times, to document threats you may receive.
