I now have evidence that Microsoft, through it’s Microsoft Start page, and Yahoo News – are both involved in disseminating large quantities of fake information from authors who do not exist.

The fake news items they distribute are likely auto-generated by AI – or in some cases, by low paid writers in other countries.

I now have A LOT of information to back this up. But it will take quite some time to package this together. It seems every day I look into a story, an author, or a web site, I uncover another faker.

The fakes are often elaborate including fake author profiles that use stolen photos, or stock photos, and which link to fake LinkedIn Profiles, with people who work for fake companies. Cross checking the links takes a lot of work.

For example, a business, supposedly in Tbilisi, Georgia – appears to be mostly fake.

From their About page showing “their team”, the first person I checked is a photo from a stock photo agency. The 2nd photo I checked was stolen from a LinkedIn profile of someone in Germany. One of their location addresses is a restaurant and another is a hotel. It’s all fake. Or very odd!

Essentially everything on the Internet should be assumed to be fake or machine generated for the purpose of creating click-bait to sell advertising, and sometimes affiliate sales links.

This is a big story – bigger than I can tell. I have spent months slowly documenting the fakes – and how major news web sites are re-distributing content from these fake organizations and content mills.

I will, when time permits, which may be a few months yet because every day I uncover new information – I will document the fakes, in extreme detail.

When major web sites are distributing this fake content, there is absolutely nothing online that can be trusted any more. Nothing at all.
