We’ve been told over and over and over again that Covid will never be “over” – but will become endemic and most will have Covid several times during the rest of their life.

But then we get this headline from WaPo: Covid isn’t over, but even the most cautious Americans are moving on (msn.com)

Related: For the first time, a majority of Democrats say the pandemic is over: poll (msn.com). 64% of all those polled said the pandemic is over – but oddly, 43% say they have not returned to “normalcy” yet, whatever that means.

Here’s the up to date data from WHO:

Two weeks ago I saw a young guy (20s) wearing a full industrial respirator on an airline flight. Not an N95 but an industrial respirator. Unfortunately, if this is your strategy you will need to do this for the rest of your life – and be sure to follow other safety protocols. If you are in a room with virus particles, then those particles were not just filtered by your mask – those particles are now on your hair, skin and clothing. If you are not taking that into account, your facial protection will not be sufficient. In the hospital, staff wear not just an N95 mask – but a hair covering, gown and gloves. When they leave a room, they remove all of that and then wash their hands. That’s what you need to be doing.
