Reminder – at its pandemic peak, the world was throwing away an estimated 3 million “masks” every minute. For a non-pharmaceutical intervention whose effectiveness ranged from zero to very little to sometimes, when the right type of mask was used, properly, and handled and disposed of properly. Unfortunately, most of these jettisoned masks were surgical masks whose effectiveness and stopping the spread of Covid was nearly non-existent.
