Part 8 – Population Demographics: Fully automated restaurant eliminates labor

Fully-autonomous restaurant Mezli will open on August 28 in San Franciso. Its co-founder and CEO hopes the new robot-powered eatery will be the first of many.

There is still offsite labor doing initial food prep yet the automation eliminates much of the labor intensive activities in a typical restaurant.

This is likely how many businesses will deal with the current and future labor shortages caused by the declining birth rates. We are already well into this future.
