Both were wearing helmets and both suffered fatal head injuries at the ski resort.

For the second time in two days, a skier has suffered fatal injuries in a crash on Mt. Bachelor, resort officials confirmed Saturday afternoon.

One was age 66 and the other age 60. As I have suffered multiple serious head injuries, this issue catches my attention.

Supposition is that recent warm weather has turned the downhill ski area snowpack to “cement”, making it difficult to control speed and turning falls into crashes into concrete.

Update: And the very next day, a 64-year-old was flown by life flight helicopter from the ski area to a hospital. No details on injuries or patient status. Imagine they will ask that those age 60 up stay away…
