Cuomo had lied about the deaths due to Covid:
New York now reports nearly 55,400 people have died of COVID-19 in New York-based on death certificate data submitted to the CDC, up from about 43,400 that Gov. Cuomo had reported to the public as of Monday, his last day in office.

Cuomo also had his Emmy rescinded this week, previously awarded in 2020 by International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences as a political endorsement.
I am so old, I remember last year when Cuomo was the media’s darling, the best Governor ever, the best leadership in a pandemic, and all that.
