The age range for the chart is 35 to 50 … yet 75% of kids are born to Mom’s under age 35! All of those are left out!

Just 4.1% of kids are born to mom’s age 40 or older – and 1.1% to age 45 and older. 25% are born to age 35 or older but you can see, from those percentages, that about 21 percentile points (21%) are born between age 35 and 39.

This is mostly a measure of women age 35-39.

60% of women who were not working while having kids go back to work.

This chart is quite misleading due to the age range (35-50).

Does this chart tell us anything at all about family size and working, married moms?

NO.

It’s a political statement – in that More Births then linked it to meme about “In the 1950s, a single wage earner could support a family”. But basically, it’s a bull shit chart. I stopped following More Births after this.
