The low end of millennials gives an indication of what types of homes have been bought – this is not a survey of desires but from an NAR report based on actual home purchases.


When you read social media posts about how a single wage earner could buy a home, raise 3 kids and live comfortably in the 1950s or 1960s, remember that the typical home they bought was half the size of today, 2 or 3 bedrooms, and a carport or 1 car garage. That’s not how Gen Z or millennials want to live in 2025.
