This survey was conducted before the FCC’s December 22, 2025 Order banning all foreign made drones.
This survey was done when the FCC was considering banning DJI drones and possibly Autel drones only. The survey of US drone operators found that a DJI ban (alone) would wipe out much of the US drone industry including media, land surveying, construction, public safety, fire, search and rescue and more applications.
