Thousands may have been exposed to measles at Newark airport on busiest travel day
Fortunately, about 92% of the US population has either had measles in the past and/or is vaccinated against measles. Per the story, no subsequent measles cases have been linked to passengers who went through the airport.
The media has done a lot of fear mongering on measles in the U.S., even though Canada and Europe hae had far, far, far worse measles prevalence than has the United States. From practicing factfulness – and fact checking – we now know that nothing in the mass media news can be trusted.
