From December’s meme that the “real” US poverty level is $140,000 per year, to the claim that to “live comfortably” you need a household income of $200k to nearly $300k/year – the people posting these are out of touch with reality.
The median household income in the US is about $74,000 (half make less and half earn more); the average is $106,000. About 85% of households have income less than $200,000/year. Thus, 85% of US households are “not living comfortably” per this assertion. This does not pass the giggle test.
