This is bull shit:
Above optimal levels of blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose, or smoking almost always precede these cardiac events, say researchers from Yonsei University College in South Korea, who call for greater attention to early detection and control of these modifiable risks.
Scientists reveal warning signs that appear before every heart attack or stroke
I had normal cholesterol, not pre-diabetic, have never smoked nor drank alcoholic beverages, and exercised. My BP was elevated and treated with medication. 9 weeks before I had a heart attack, I had a routine echo cardiogram to rule out a previous routine ECG finding as a false positive – the results were that my heart was normal.
What these scientists have done is draw an enormous circle around most of the adult population – and anyone in that circle who has a heart attack, obviously, was due to the factors on their list.
- An estimated 60-70% of all adults in the US over the age of 40 have a BP greater than 120/80.
- An estimated 74% of adults aged 60 and older have high blood pressure.
- 80% of first heart attacks occur over age 60 (average of 65.5 for men, and 72 for women)
- Obesity accounts for up to 78% of high blood pressure cases.
7 to 9% will of all adults will experience at least one heart attack.
When BP is used as a metric, they’ve drawn a net around almost the entire population.
Risk factors they ignore:
- weight
- vitamin B deficiency
- chronic long term inflammation
