Used to be that were lots of bloggers, and you read their content by subscribing to their “news feed”, which originally was an RSS file (Really Simple Syndication, if I remember it correctly). Most blogs had an icon or link to get to the news feed URL. Apparently not so much anymore.
Today, the news feeds come in other formats, like Atom or who knows what else. I have not kept up.

I do most of my blog reading using the blog reader in Thunderbird. Another good application is RSSOwl.
