“Bioethicists” promote using ticks and a tick-borne illness to make people allergic to eating meat. ‘Cuz climate.

I succumbed to the plant-based eating propaganda, which eventually led to vitamin B-12 deficiency and severe illness, potentially almost killing me,

Parker Crutchfield and Blake Hereth propose giving entire populations an illness that would make it impossible for people to eat meat.

The say this would be a net good for the climate, animals, etc – but it would cause B-12 deficiency for many as meat is the natural source of vitamin B-12 – an essential nutrient without which we get sick and potentially die (a powerful argument that we evolved to eat animals).

In my case I did not learn until after going through B-12 deficiency that I have a family history of B-12 deficiency, and I carry a genetic marker for B-12 deficiency. Deficiency can occur due to failure to eat B-12 foods (meat), inabilty to absorb B-12 (e.g. pernicious anemia), interference in absorbtion due to disease (e.g. celiac) or taking medications that interfere with B-12 absorption (many diabetic medications). Mine was due to having mostly stopped eating meat for 4+ years. Just an FYI – as of 2023, only 4% of the US population is vegetarian, and 1% is vegan, down from 6% and 2%, 18 years earlier. These numbers may be a surprise considering the media coverage about “going vegetarian”.

And those that argue – “just take B-12 supplements” – are arguing in favor of manufactured and ultraprocessed foods.
