Tesla’s Superchargers are said to have a 99% reliability rating while other networks average about 75% reliability (in other words, 75% of charging ports are working when you pull into a non-Tesla charging station).
As of the end of 2024, there were about 204,000 charging ports available nationwide.
As of summer 2025, there are about 12,000-13,000 fast charging stations, with a combined total of about 58,000 to 68,000 fast charging ports available (estimates vary). Over 4,000 fast charging ports are added each quarter.
