Part 1: Climate, Media: Set the fear gauge to 11 – Coldstreams
“After the crisis wording, at the end of the article: “Temperatures regularly exceed 100 degrees in the summertime, and we are not expecting anything unusual related to this usual heat.“
Part 2: California launches heat ranking tool, map to rank severity risks
State launches an app to tell you when it is hot, in a state that historically is …. hot in the summer.
Governor Gavin Newsom on Thursday announced the launch of a new, first-in-the-nation tool to forecast and rank heat severity in areas across California.
The news comes as Sacramento and other regions in Northern California are set to hit 100 degrees later this week.
The new tool, called CalHeatScore, uses ZIP code data and identifies groups most susceptible to extreme heat, such as children and older adults, and provides safety tips.
The tool uses scores from 0 to 4 to evaluate forecasted heat conditions and risks.
How has humanity evolved into such stupidity that requires an app to tell them the bloody obvious?
We already have this bizarre thing called weather forecasts, widely available on
- Radio
- TV
- Smart phone apps
- Internet
And they provide a wide range of current and forecast weather conditions.
You can also open the door and feel how arm it is outside – amazing, huh?
But … we need a government issued app to specifically tell us when it is going to be hot!
