That this was ever occurring has caused us to lose all confidence in the FAA – this should never have happened FAA permanently restricts DC helicopter traffic after fatal collision

  • What process enabled the FAA to have approved intersecting flight paths, which the NTSB estimated could be as little as 75 feet separation?
  • Has the FAA identified and fixed this errant process?
  • Who – specifically – in the FAA had approved placement of helicopter air corridors within 75 feet of the final approach course?
  • Has this faulty process led to make similar errors at other airports?
  • Who is being held accountable for the death of nearly 100 people? Apparently no one.
