It’s an automatic software update: Tesla recalling almost 700,000 vehicles: Cybertruck, Model 3, Model Y

But call it a “recall”, sure.

Earlier in the year, I spent an hour working on my Honda Fit, including getting greasy from the work. While I was doing the work on the Fit, my Model 3 had a “recall”! I never touched a thing, didn’t spend any of my time on it. It was done while parked in my driveway – meanwhile I was getting dirty working on the Fit!

But yes, call it a “recall”.

In July the automaker recalled more than 1.8 million vehicles because of a hood issue that could increase the risk of a crash. And in February Tesla recalled nearly 2.2 million vehicles in the U.S. because some warning lights on the instrument panel are too small.

Update: I just accessed my Android phone and it says I have an important Software Update ready to install. What? You mean my phone is “recalled” monthly? Who knew! It’s terrible!
