- These include vitamin B12, which he recommends anyone following a plant-based diet take.
Ironically, I’d read one of his books on the topic and he only mentioned B-12, twice on page 276 and I didn’t know the seriousness of the need to take B-12. But overall, he’s fair.

If you intend to be a mostly plant-based eater, and especially if you are older (over 40), mention this to your doctor and do consult with a nutritionist. Follow the advice of your doctor and nutritionist. Do not do what I did – you cannot casually eliminate meat from your diet for an extended period or you may eventually develop serious health problems.
