It’s amazing – only Southwest Airlines is experiencing this dramatic effect of climate change.
Southwest Airlines is facing a unique climate change problem: exploding soda cans : NPR
Hint: This has nothing to do with climate change. Just shitty news reporting from NPR. They later changed the shitty headline:

And moved the speculative and unrelated climate issue to the last paragraph because everything in life now days is a single variable problem.
Here’s an accurate headline: Soda cans bursting on Southwest flights from heat, causing injuries – The Washington Post
Because Southwest doesn’t serve meals or perishable foods, it doesn’t use refrigerated trucks, unlike other airlines, meaning soda stored at airports is heating up on sweltering days.
Southwest, as their name implies, flies a lot of flights in the traditionally hot southwestern U.S. The airline has also had other problems recently – notably 3 flights in recent months coming dangerously close to the ground (175 feet at Tallahassee, 400 feet in Hawaii, etc), and recently took off on a closed runway in New England.
