Except those used by corporations and government: Fears ‘suicide drones’ used in Ukraine may be used in UK terror attacks – World News – Mirror Online
The US Congress has voted to approve a ban on DJI drones (80% of all drones in the U.S.) citing no evidence whatsoever of why that is necessary. It is, in fact, a trade protection measure that would limit drone sales to mostly U.S. manufacturers who charge 2x to 3x more – and putting drone prices tags at thousands of dollars each, largely ending personal use of RC quadcopters in the U.S.
It’s been obvious where this is going – just go back and read the FAA’s original proposal for Remote ID – much of it was driven by Homeland Security.
Note that hobbyists have built radio controlled model aircraft since the 1930s – and continue to build RC aircraft to this day. Banning drones won’t really accomplish anything – bad guys and gals can readily build their own. I’ve even built a home made quad copter. This is not “rocket science”.
