In Czechia’s capital of Prague, where temperatures reached 34C Wednesday [93 F]

For reference, some of the historic hottest temperatures ever recorded for the cities mentioned in the story are:

  • Podgorica, 45 C
  • Prague, 37.9 C
  • Belgrade, 43.6 C
  • Bucherest, 42.5 C (official); compare to the official temperature (not the street thermometers) of 37.8 C yesterday

It was 104 F at my house this past week. Everyone was fine. The pavement did not melt, and no one in our region died.
