Essentially nothing! Here is a collection of temperature maps saved on July 8, 2024 over the course of about 20 minutes. Some charts may be current temps while some may be forecast highs; for the west coast, the current temps were likely just about the forecast highs.
What you should notice is that the color schemes vary all over – to the point that color map choices seem random – or intended to incite fear.
First, the NOAA map with normal, standard colors – In April 2024, NOAA/NWS added magenta to the color scheme – thus, comparisons to past maps will no longer work.

Notice the magenta areas on the Accuweather map – these include Boise ID, Edmonton AB and Vancouver BC.
But what are the actual temperatures for those cities?
Boise is very hot, above, but take a look at Vancouver BC – which is also labeled magenta:
Magenta extends from the low 80s to the mid 100s. A side effect is that this means the magenta color covers a very large part of the map.
