In the ever-necessary requirement to use increasingly shrill adjectives, we now have “lethal temperatures”: Map Shows Which Cities Can Expect ‘Lethal’ Temperatures (msn.com)

These are normal temperatures for these areas at this time of year:

Temperatures are expected to rise past 100 degrees Fahrenheit with some regions, such as Death Valley National Park, hitting 120 degrees Fahrenheit. Meteorologists said that the temperatures could reach lethal limits within minutes. Newsweek reached out to the NWS office in Las Vegas by phone for comment.

This temperature graphic shows that half the country is below normal (not a peep about that from the media), and that the west is above normal – but nothing extraordinary.

Lying is what the media does best, as well documented in 2023:

Normal Temperatures in the 70s are Scary Red!!!!!

Normal Summer Temperatures in Phoenix are Life Threatening!

And this for the 3rd week in June – 107 degree is a fairly normal temperature in Phoenix. Now it’s “Life threatening”.

He’s a climate activist so everything is a superlative. I don’t think he and his cohort realize that being nonsensical turns people off.

“Blasted”

This is 79 degrees Fahrenheit. Blasted.

“Searing”, “Dangerous”

“Brutal”

These are normal high summer temperatures but whatever. Complete with Dr Fauci, uh, no, Dr Mann, to explain how humans are causing summer temperatures:

“Shattering”

A 1-degree difference is “shattering”:

“Philadelphia hit 98 degrees on Sunday, shattering its 1888 record of 97 degrees”

“Torment”

“Punishing”, “Swelters”, “Hazardous”

“Extremely dangerous and potentially deadly”, “dangerous heat”, “Extreme heat”, “the heat is punishing”, “the West swelters, hazardous heat persists”

So many adjectives in one story!

“Extreme heat is one of the leading weather-related killers in the United States, leaving hundreds of people dead each year, according to the weather service.” (Cold actually kills about 9x more but whatever!)

We didn’t use to have “heat risk” maps – but we do now!

“Dangerous heat”

Dangerous heat is shifting this week. Here’s where it will go next | CNN

Pretty ordinary summer temperatures are now “Shattering”, “Brutal”, “Dangerous”, “Broils”, “Searing” and rain is a “Rain bomb”. From CCN’s “heat” map, CNN is stunned to find that it gets hot in the South in the summer. This is an amazing revelation, unknown before 2024.

And of course – the new forecasts estimate how many billions of people are affected!

These estimates are a new term in weather forecasting – to make things sound even worse!!!!

Oops

Much of the country is below normal even well below normal. It was 0 deg C/32 deg F at my house this morning on June 18, 2024:

But there are no scary headlines about the cold weather. I saw a weather chart showing the high heat in parts of the west – and cold – at that time, in the middle of the nation (no mention of that).

On Jun 21, 2024, now at the peak of the “We are all going to die” “Lethal” temperatures, the majority of the U.S. is, actually, below normal:

Also, as shared by someone else, on this date in 1988, 66% of the US was above 90 degrees, whereas today, just 17% is above 90 degrees.

The media and the people who work for the media are trashy people uninterested in truth – click-bait is all that matters.
