Note that the Tesla Model 3 (RWD) and Tesla Model 3 (AWD/Long Range) do not qualify for any tax credits in 2024. Which means the government’s desire for more subsidized EVs falls flat – and conflicts with the government’s desire for more of them to be made entirely in the U.S. or favored trade partners. It’s quite a mashup of contradictions.
