The current average monthly bill in California is $219/month or $2,678/year. Now add $600 to that and the average annual electric bill climbs to about $3,300 per year. California is also proposing to make your electric bill be based on your annual income – make more money, pay much higher bills. Presumably this will be done for all consumer goods: groceries, automobiles, clothing, health care and so on.
