Congress at the urging of the Biden administration agreed in 2021 to spend $7.5 billion to build tens of thousands of electric vehicle chargers across the country, aiming to appease anxious drivers while tackling climate change.

Two years later, the program has yet to install a single charger.

Congress spent billions on EV chargers. But not one has come online. – POLITICO

It is amazing how the media went from EV cheerleaders to EVs don’t work, don’t sell, and can’t be charged. All in the span of a month.

Note – I drive an EV. I’m in the middle – some EVs are great, and some are not. EVs are great for somethings but not yet for everything. EVs are probably priced too high for a mass market. Prices and tech will get better, but probably isn’t where it needs to be for a general-purpose solution for many. But everything will get better over time, including prices, range and charging options. EV might not be the only solution either – hydrogen fuels have been a long time dream too.
