Convincing evidence, facts and logic are the basis for logical and persuasive arguments. But many, climate change activists have called for an end to democracy and rule by technocratic elite. As described on the Climate Hypocrites pages (here and here) Extinction Rebellion says they oppose democracy – they say if just 3.5% of the population agrees with them, and engages in civil disobedience, violating laws, and preventing people who are developing solutions from getting to work, then this will be sufficient to overrule the other 96.5% and impose rule by ER (also known as XR) and technocratic elite experts.
Greta Thunberg said, in 2022, that we must end capitalism – she later acknowledged that socialism didn’t work either and she had no solution.
