The article points to several well known CEOs recognized for being “buff”: Bezos and Zuckerberg stand out, but there are others. The reality, the article notes, is most executives are fit and if you aspire to move up, you need to be thin and fit too.

This is sort of an extension of past recommendations for those wishing to move up – you should dress like your bosses, drive cars like your bosses, strive to live in a home like your boss, eat at restaurants like where they eat – literally, look like a boss to get promoted to boss.

This is also related to “pretty privilege” – which some pretend does not exist, even among those who benefit immensely from their own attractiveness privilege.
