Cascade Natural Gas outages affecting dozens of Bend and Redmond customers during a cold snap late last month have prompted the utility to ask about 2,500 customers in the two cities to voluntarily curtail their non-essential use over the next few days, to avoid more outages during predicted extreme cold.
