Still photography on social media is now dead. IG’s management said a while back that they will, basically, turn IG into TikTok.

I just tallied up what I saw. Out of 77 posts, 58 were video (43 posts from people I follow and 15 video ads), and 19 were still photos (15 from those I follow, and 3 were ads).

That works out to 75% of all content now displayed on IG is video and 25% is still photos.

At some point in 2024, still photos will be essentially dead on Instagram.
