The price has been set quite a bit higher than first implied by GM: The Promised $30,000 Chevrolet Equinox EV Is No More (msn.com)
Could be that the renewed Bolt EV will now be targeted at the lower price points originally suggested for the Equinox. Chevy has said they would end the Bolt EV but then later changed their mind and announced there will be a new design built on the Ultium platform.
