As noted in the past, I had a Macbook for which software updates were ended after just 3 1/2 years, soon rendering the system difficult to use (because the Internet marches on). Many tech companies, while proclaiming sustainability, simultaneously encourage rapid product upgrading – and rapid product obsolescence.
