Source: Apple’s satellite plans just sent this stock on a wild ride
The iPhone 14 will support text messaging via GlobalStar satellites, and the text service will be free during the first two years. This capability will go live in the last two months of 2022 and will only work with new iPhones.
T-Mobile and SpaceX announced similar services a week or two ago with service to be available at some point in 2023. T-Mobile says their system will work with many existing phone handsets.
