The complaints point to all sorts of problems with the experience of owning a Tesla vehicle, including an inadequate number of service centers, limited stock of replacement parts, bad communication, poor manufacturing quality, and long wait times for repair appointments.

Until a year or so ago, the half of the state I live in had no Tesla servicing facilities. Since then, an independent repair shop has become a certified service facility in the local big city. Otherwise, your Tesla had to be taken to the Tesla Service Center located 150 miles away for its annual service.

Lack of service facilities and a shortage of spare parts for repairs have left some customers with their Teslas stuck in the shop for months on end.

Tesla knows this is a problem but as long as sales continue to grow (and they grow faster than their service network), they do not intend to do much about it. In fact, Tesla vehicles end up in the shop about as often as ICE vehicles.

While I like many features of Tesla vehicles, this issue has ruled out Tesla for me, for the time being.
