Dozens of electric buses will be taken off the streets of Paris temporarily “as a precaution” after two of the vehicles caught fire, public transport operator RATP said Friday.

An argument among EV enthusiasts is that gas vehicles catch fire too. A difference is gas vehicles tend to catch fire as a result of a vehicle crash where EVs spontaneously combust – sometimes while under charge but sometimes not.
